•	Additional Materials 3 in. (7.5 cm) piece of cardboard 2 buttons 1/2 in. (13 mm) diameter Sewing needle and matching thread

GAUGE: 18 sts + 40 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

NOTES:

Sweater is worked in one piece to armholes, then divided for Fronts and Back.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams. Sew Sleeve seams. Sew in Sleeves. Fold Hood in half and seam bound-off edge for back of Hood. Sew Hood to neck edge. Sew on buttons. Weave in ends.
Tassel
Wrap yarn around cardboard 20 times. Cut a 20 in. (51 cm) length of yarn and thread into large-eyed blunt needle. Insert needle under all strands at upper edge of cardboard. Pull tightly and knot securely near strands. Cut yarn loops at lower edge of cardboard. Trim ends evenly.
With crochet hook, chain remaining length of tied strand for about 4 in. (10 cm). Fasten off. Thread chain to inside of Hood and knot to secure.
